What are Slots?
Slots are a useful tool for managing multiple serialized Inventory Items in a centralized way. They allow you to set a standard rate or checklist for all items within the slot, and also provide an easy way to view the availability of all items categorized under the slot.
Additionally, you can assign a slot to a new order without having to select each individual asset, making the process more efficient. You can even use slots to display a single storefront slot, rather than each individual item.
Creating and Setting up a Slot
To create a new slot, follow these steps:
1. Select the "Inventory" tab from the left-hand side of the screen.
2. Under the page title, switch the tab from "Items" to "Slots."
3. In the top right-hand corner, click on the "New Slot" button.
4. Fill in the necessary information for the slot and click "Submit" in the top right-hand corner.
Note: The slot will be created, but it will be empty. You will need to add in the relevant items to the slot.
Assigning Serialized Items to a Slot
To assign items to a slot, follow these steps:
1. Towards the right side of the page, you will see a section for "Slot Items." To the top right of this box, click on "Assign Items to Slot."
2. Use the search button at the top of the screen to select the inventory items you want to add to the slot.
3. Scroll down and click on "Assign Items" in the bottom left-hand corner.
