How to Implement Discounts

Renterra allows you to add a percent-off discount on rental assets for any order. This feature can be beneficial for your business by offering incentives for customers, and rewarding loyal patrons.

Adding a Discount to a Specic Order

Follow these simple steps to add a discount to an order:

  1. Navigate to the specific order you want to apply the discount to.

  2. Find the "Order Settings" tab at the top of the Order Screen

  3. Click on the edit icon

  4. Input your desired percentage in the discount field

  5. Save your changes.

We currently also allow you to change the rates on specific items, as well as editing the billing on any line item. While these may be functionally similar to discounts, they are not considered discounts by our analytics systems.

Setting a Permanent Discount for a Customer

You can also configure the settings for a particular customer to receive a discount on every order they make. Here's how:

  1. Go to the customer's page you want to set the discount for.

  2. Go to their "Settings" using the dropdown with the three dots icon in the top right of the screen

  3. In the account settings, add the desired percentage in the discount field.

  4. Save your changes. This customer will receive the configured discount for every future order.
