Updated over 6 months ago

This status is designed to represent the status of an Item at the current point in time. The options for Item Status are the following:

Available: Means that it is ready to be ordered and used by a customer. This status is typically used for new or recently returned items that have been checked and deemed ready for use.

On Rent: Means that it is currently being used by a customer and the rental rate is being accrued. This status is important for tracking the usage and billing of your equipment.

Soft Down: Means that there is an issue with the equipment that is causing a minor disruption in its use. This could include small repairs or maintenance needs that do not significantly impact the functionality of the equipment. An item can still be rented if it is marked as Soft Down

Hard Down: Means that there is a more serious issue with the equipment that requires significant repairs or maintenance. This status is typically used for equipment that is out of commission and cannot be used until the issue is resolved. You cannot create an Order for an Item that is marked as Hard Down

Called Off: Means that a pickup has been requested for an Item by a Customer, but it has not yet been picked up.

Pickup: Means that the item has been picked up by your driver and is en route back to your Yard to be checked in.

In Review: Means the Item has been flagged for review during a check-in process. This could be due to a potential issue or maintenance need that needs to be addressed before the equipment can be made available for use again or regular check-in procedures that must take place before renting out again.

In conclusion, understanding the different statuses of an Item is crucial for effectively managing your equipment and ensuring that it is being used and maintained properly. By keeping track of the Item Status, you can ensure that your equipment is always available and in good working condition for your customers.
