You will only be able to change the meter type if there is not a maintenance schedule that is dependent on the meter type for the item.
Go to the Serial item you wish to change.
Click the pencil icon attached to the Item Status box.
Use the drop down to adjust the Meter type, type in the Hours, or use the drop down to adjust the fuel type.
Click "Submit" in the top right hand corner.
