Updated over 2 months ago

Managing a large inventory can be time-consuming, especially when you need to make the same changes to multiple items. Bulk Edit Mode allows you to make batch updates quickly and efficiently. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the Bulk Edit Mode:

Step 1: Accessing Bulk Edit Mode

  1. Go to the Inventory page.

  2. Select Toggle Bulk Edit Mode on the righthand side of the screen.

Step 2: Selecting Inventory Items

  1. Click on “Toggle Bulk Edit Mode.” This will enable the bulk editing functionality and may change the interface to allow for multiple item selections.

  2. Check the boxes next to the inventory items you wish to edit.

  3. Select Edit

Step 3: Choosing Edit Options

Once you have selected the items, you can choose from a range of editing options.

  • Storefront Enabled This option will only be available for customers that have purchased the Renterra Integrated Storefront.

    • If you want to make these items visible on your storefront, select the “Enable” option.

    • To hide these items from the storefront, select the “Disable” option.

  • Mark as Tax Exempt:

    • To mark the selected items as tax-exempt, choose the “Yes” option. This is useful for items that are not subject to sales tax.

    • To remove items as tax-exempt, choose the “No” option. This is useful for items that are subject to sales tax.

  • Change Category:

    • If you need to reassign the items to a different category, choose the “Change Category” option.

  • Convert Sale Item to Part:

    • To change an inventory item from a Sale item to a Part, select the “Convert to Part” option. This action cannot be undone.

Note: When converting a sale item to a part, all other bulk edit actions will be ignored. Once an item is converted to a part, this action cannot be undone.

Step 4: Apply Changes

  1. Before applying the changes, double-check that you’ve selected the correct options and items.

  2. Click the “Submit” to process the changes and update the selected inventory items accordingly.
